Solsave Silicon Power Battery has a universally recognized edge over commonly used lead-acid batteries nowadays in the world, due to its high temperature performance and fast charging capability. VRLA batteries in general lose around 50% of cycle life for every 8˚C increase in temperature above 25˚C where Solsave Silicon Power Battery only lose around 20%. Solsave Silicon Power batteries are also functional with full capacity at temperature above 40˚C where most VRLA batteries lose capacity due to dry out. For fast charging capability, Solsave batteries can be recharged to 90% capacity within 60 minutes with high current charger.

Solsave Silicon Power Battery's other advantages include small internal resistance and low self discharge rate. Also there is no pollution and temperature rise during charging and operations, therefore isolation is not required for gas emission, saving construction costs in many applications.

BATTERY CHARGING AND DIS-CHARGING CHARACTERISTICS

Battery Charging

Due to the special capability of Solsave Silicon Power Battery, constant current charging is recommended to prolong the life of the battery. However, since the charging ability of Solsave Silicon Power Battery is quite strong, it can adapt to both constant voltage or constant current charging with minimal effect.

The top charge voltage recommended is 2.6V/cell. Solsave Silicon Power Battery does not get top loaded like lead acid batteries and will not undergo gas emission problem or damage when overcharged.

When charging with ordinary lead acid battery charger with a lower charging voltage, Solsave Silicon Batteries might not be fully charged. Special chargers can be ordered and arranged for maximum charging capacity.

Battery Dis-Charging

Due to the special capability of Solsave Silicon Power Battery, constant current discharging is recommended to prolong the life of the battery. However, since the charging ability of Solsave Silicon Power Battery is quite strong, it can adapt to both constant voltage or constant current charging with minimal effect.

Under normal circumstances, a charging:discharging ratio of 1:0.3 is recommended; however, with high current charging and discharging, the ratio can be shifted to 1:1.

Solsave Silicon Power Battery can withstand over discharge with no damage but it is not recommended and is advised to charge battery immediately after discharge.

BATTERY HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

When the batteries are mounted onto the equipment, exercise caution to ensure easy checking and maintenance. Also, the battery should be located in the lowest part of the equipment as possible.

Set the batteries firmly so they do not move freely within the equipment. Avoid unexpected vibration or shocks before operating the equipment.

Avoid locating batteries under direct sunlight, near heat generating devices or in wet conditions. Avoid fire and sparks near batteries at all time.

For battery cells set up, make sure the batteries are mutually connected properly and then connect the batteries string with the charger or application.

Store the batteries when they are fully charged and store them in a stable and safe environment.
